I rode for me, for health, for the lost years, for life itself. It may sound a bit selfish, but that is absolutely accurate: for me, it was all about life and me.
The guides made what would have been a nearly impossible trip into a relatively pleasant one. If there's a cushy way to do this ride, then this is it!
Overall I cannot tell you how incredible this trip was to me physically, personally or emotionally. It was one of the greatest things I ever did in my life. It was an amazing adventure that I will never forget or probably ever surpass. Oh, and I am thinking of doing it again before I die!
At the start, I was looking at a life long goal I set for myself that was going to be hard, difficult, painful, but if successful, the biggest thing I could ever do as person.
I just simply take a moment and smile (large) and shake my head. I'm lucky to do this with a country filled with the people and land that I love so much. Not everybody wants to do this, most cannot physically do this, fewer still take the time out to prepare, only a handful will bicycle every single mile!
